⭐ Rift Ranks and Seasons
How ⭐ stars, rank tiers, Star Shields, seasons and Rift Power work, and which races count.
🏆 RANKED races in the Rift Race earn ⭐ stars, and your rank is simply how many stars you have this season. You'll find your rank, your 🏁 score and the season countdown in the 🌀 RIFT window.
Rank tiers
Each tier has 3 divisions (III, then II, then I) except 🌟 Legend, which has no limit.
| Tier | ⭐ per division | Starts at total ⭐ | A lost race |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🥉 Bronze | 3 | 0 | No star lost |
| 🥈 Silver | 3 | 9 | No star lost |
| 🥇 Gold | 4 | 18 | -1 ⭐ |
| 💠 Platinum | 4 | 30 | -1 ⭐ |
| 💎 Diamond | 5 | 42 | -1 ⭐ |
| 👑 Master | 5 | 57 | -1 ⭐ |
| 🌟 Legend | No limit | 72 | -1 ⭐ |
Winning and losing stars
| What happened in a 🏆 RANKED race | ⭐ |
|---|---|
| Your team won | +1 |
| You're your winning team's 👑 MVP | +1 more |
| Lost, in Bronze or Silver | 0 |
| Lost, from Gold up | -1 |
| Lost, but your team had the boss down to half health or less (🛡️ Star Shield) | 0 |
| You left the race | Counts as a loss |
A loss can drop you a division, but never out of your tier. If you're at the start of 🥇 Gold, a loss costs nothing.
👑 MVP
Each team's best score gets 👑 MVP. Score adds up your share of the team's damage (up to 100), 4 per kill and 15 per revive, and takes off 6 per time you went down. Reviving friends really pays.
Seasons
A season lasts 4 weeks and changes on a Monday at 00:00 UTC. When a new one starts:
- You drop 4 divisions, to the start of that division. For example 🌟 Legend goes to 💎 Diamond I, and 🥇 Gold II goes to 🥈 Silver III.
- You never drop below 🥉 Bronze I because of this, and it never moves you up.
- Season 🎮 points, wins and MVPs start again from 0.
The 🏁 season board
The board Rift Race ranks everyone who raced this season by ⭐, then season wins, then 👑 MVPs. See it in the 🏆 window and on 🌀 Rift Island, where the season's top 3 stand on the podium. Your 🏁 score is ⭐ x 100 + your 🎮 NORMAL points.
🎮 NORMAL limits
NORMAL gives no stars, only a few season points:
| Win | Loss | |
|---|---|---|
| With 2+ real players in the match | 3 | 1 |
| Same, but the rival team was all 🤖 bots | 1 | 0 |
| You were the only real player | 0 | 0 |
You can earn at most 12 NORMAL points per UTC day. After that the result says 🎮 Today's points are full!, and you can keep playing for fun.
🌀 Rift Power
Rift Power never resets. It's a big part of your 🏅 Champion Score and it feeds your country in the Country Cup at 2 points per Rift Power.
| What you did | Rift Power |
|---|---|
| 🏆 RANKED race played | 8 |
| 🏆 RANKED win | 20 more |
| 👑 MVP in a 🏆 RANKED race | 12 more |
| Each ⭐ of your best rank in any season | 15 |
| 🎮 NORMAL win | 1 |
What counts for nothing
- 🎯 PRACTICE and 🏠 ▶ START races give no stars, no points and no Rift Power, and they don't count toward the 5 races Legend Hunt asks for. 🎮 NORMAL and 🏆 RANKED races do count there.
- Races don't pay coins or tickets. They're for rank, board places, Rift Power and a few badges.
- Nothing you can buy changes your stars.
Tips
- In Bronze and Silver you can't lose stars, so that's the time to learn. From Gold up, every race matters.
- Play for 👑 MVP: revives are worth 15 score each, and MVP adds a star when your team wins.
- Losing? Keep hitting the boss. Getting it to half health saves your star with 🛡️ Star Shield.
- Don't leave a race early. It counts as a loss even if your team wins.
- The best ⭐ you reach in a season stays in your Rift Power for good, so a late-season climb still pays after the reset.
