🐉 Riding and ULTIMATE

How to ride your pets, switch rides, use 🌟 SKILL and fill the 💥 ULTIMATE meter.

Climb on a ⚔️ Boss pet or 🏆 LIMITED pet and it carries you everywhere. While you fight on it, a meter fills up and fires a huge ULTIMATE move.

Getting on

Go to 🐾 PETS, tap a Boss or LIMITED pet, then tap 🐉 RIDE. Tap 🛑 OFF to get down. Other pets can't be ridden.

New players get a first ride for free: a 🐉 Hero pet after the first-minute guide. You can also win Boss pets from raid bosses or find LIMITED pets.

Good to know:

• A pet is ridden, following you or in your Nest, never two at once. Climbing on takes it out of the Nest or off your followers.
• It can't guard a 🗼 tower while you ride it.
• You stay on it after respawning or rejoining.
• If you sit on a seat, the pet goes away and comes back when you stand up.
• There's no riding in the 🌀 Maze.
• The pet you ride still strikes enemies in fights.

How big is your ride?

Every merge makes a ride clearly bigger. HUGE and TITANIC pets are bigger still.

👑 MEGA is only for Boss pets: merge 3 💎 Diamond copies. It comes with a glow, dust on each step and a shockwave when it lands.

What a ride changes

A Boss pet changes how you look, not how fast you walk or how high you jump.

A LIMITED ride is the size of a 💎 Diamond one and has real powers:

• You jump 2.2x as high.
• Hoppers jump 1.35x as high and can jump again in the air.
• Flyers and Floaters jump 1.5x as high and fly for 2.5 seconds if you hold jump in the air.

These powers work in boss fights, the dungeon and the 🌀 Rift, but not in the obby, the maze or mini-games. A 🌌 TIER 2 pet rides at about 👑 MEGA size.

🔄 SWITCH RIDE

When a Boss or LIMITED pet is following you, a round 🔄 button appears (G on PC, D-pad up on a controller). Tap it to climb on that pet. The one you rode takes its place as a follower. Each tap moves on to the next one.

🌟 SKILL

Only LIMITED pets have a skill. The 🌟 SKILL button (R on PC, L1 on a controller) has a 12 second cooldown.

• Riding a LIMITED: fires its skill at x1.5 damage with a 25% wider reach and a bigger show.
• Not riding a LIMITED, but one is following you: fires that follower's skill at normal strength.
• 🤖 AUTO: it also fires by itself when it's ready and there's something to hit.
• Other following LIMITEDs: each fires its own skill by itself every 15 seconds at 60% strength.

Skills hit bosses, monsters, dungeon enemies and the 🥚 Golden Egg. They never hit players. See LIMITED pets for the six kinds of skill.

💥 The ULTIMATE meter

The round 💥 meter shows while you ride any Boss or LIMITED pet. You must be riding: a following pet doesn't fill it.

It fills while you fight:

• About 3.2 points a second out of 100, with a random swing, so it's never the same twice.
• Each hit that lands adds 0.4 points (up to 3.5 a second). More pets and more tapping fill it sooner.
• Each time you get hit adds 9 points.
• Each pet species has its own pace, up to 30% faster or slower.
• Plain rides fill fastest, then 💎, then 👑, and LIMITEDs slowest. Each ⭐ AWAKEN star makes it 6% faster.

It drains when you stop: 2 seconds after your last hit, it drops 8 points a second, so a full meter is gone in about 12 seconds.

In a steady fight, expect about 15 to 30 seconds per ULTIMATE.

A full meter fires by itself. If another ULTIMATE just went off near you, yours may wait a few seconds so they don't all land together. You can't be hit during the move, and you can't walk or dash until it's over.

The four levels

The move depends on what you ride. Damage is a multiple of your pet's power.

• 💎 and 👑 play their own short cut-in before the move.
• Every LIMITED has its own move, look, voice line and film. The landing is only the start: 12 more hits rain down over 6 seconds, ending in a SUPERNOVA. The x45 grows with how rare the pet is and its ⭐ stars.
• 🌌 TIER 2 pets hit 1.8x harder still and have two different ULTIMATEs, picked at random.

ULTIMATEs never hit players. In the 🌀 Rift they look the same, but the Rift sets its own damage.

Tips

• Keep hitting. A pause longer than 2 seconds starts draining the meter.
• Stay inside the boss's gold ring when your meter is nearly full, or you'll waste the blast.
• Merge a favourite Boss pet to 💎 first: that's the jump from MEGA SLAM to TITAN QUAKE.
• Keep a second rideable pet following you. 🔄 SWITCH RIDE swaps in one tap, and your old ride keeps fighting beside you.
• A LIMITED following you still fires skills, so ride your strongest and let the others follow.
